STORY! :la:

Wanting to take a little reprieve, Shelby gathered her pooches for a late Autumn walk into the mountains. Although she dearly loves all of her equines, she had wanted to just have a personal get away for a few hours. Her stables had gotten really busy and she was confident that the farm would not fall to pieces in her absence. Fairly confident...

As she reached a peak, she looked back to the valley below at her farm and the business of it all. She smiled, knowing that her entire staff was well suited to run all the daily chores. In fact, they could easily survive without the owner for a few days without issues.

Her solace was interrupted suddenly with an ear-splitting, horrific screech. Her dogs, attentive, began barking at the noise and ran off into the woods. "Crap, girls, WAIT!" she yelled, bolting after them headfirst.

The trees whipped at her face ruthlessly, creating small tears in her flesh, completely ignoring her protective fur. She feared for her dogs, more than anything else. Should the animal emitting the terrifying noise be in harm, it could quite possibly lash out and injure them easily.

Seeing a parting in the trees, and the shape of her dogs as well, Shelby slowed down to a jog as she parted a thick brush. Wide-eyed, the feline stared at the sight before her. A white and blue equine pawed at the earth around her, the only part of her body visible was from her front legs to her head. The two quarters of her lower body was stuck in a very large hole. "How in the hell...?" Shelby questioned, now raising a brow at the equine, attempting to climb out of the hole. "However you got into that hole, I should help you...you DO look pretty pathetic," she chuckled to herself as she moved to assist the poor creature.

With some complications and a ton of effort, the cat girl, with her two canine counterparts, were able to get the equine out of the hole. Shelby brushed some dirt and dinge off the poor thing and as she did, the equine suddenly spread her now quite obvious white and blue wings. "Oh, my!" she gasped, stepping back in awe. "You are quite a gorgeous one, " she laughed, patting her neck gingerly. "Well, be on your way now, beauty. Just don't go crawling around in any more holes, you hear?"

Turning on her heel, and patting her leg to call her dogs, the feline began her hike back to her stables. With a huff, she felt a nudge from behind as the mare pushed her to get her attention. "Oh, are you trying to say thank you?" she smiled, lightly petting the mare on the forehead. "You're very welcome."

She continued to move forward and the mare stomped and emitted a loud whinny. Whirling around, Shelby stared at the mare. "Would you like to come home with me, sweety?" Whinnying once again, the mare bobbed her head. "You are very welcome to follow me home," she smiled warmly, stroking her forehead once more.
